Artificial Intelligence is transforming every aspect of the modern society and will have a huge impact in the coming decades. The human dimension of AI applications is a challenge in an age where AI is becoming ubiquitous. "We need human-centered Artificial Intelligence, which must be put at the service of people and not the other way around," states the UNESCO document "Recommendations on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence." In this context, the event presents a series of human-centered applications of AI and invites a debate on the social implications of Artificial Intelligence.
During the event, we will present research and applications developed by members of the Center in collaboration with partner companies, we will open the AI Testing Center of the NATO DIANA network ("Defense Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic"), and we will summarize the results of the project "FIT Europe” for the training of future IT leaders. Participants will have the opportunity to test interactive Artificial Intelligence applications in the exhibition, open throughout the event.
The International Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence@UPB is organized in partnership with the University of Medicine and Farmacy “Carol Davila” of Bucharest, the National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale", the Technical University of Moldova, and under the patronage of the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO.
